MES Consultant for Manufacturing OT (hybrid) at SpiraTec AG | softgarden

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to join our team for Operational Technology (OT) in manufacturing. In this hybrid position, you will collaborate with our local and international teams to deliver top-quality projects to our customers in the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing environment. As a fast learner, you will have the opportunity to grow your skills and knowledge in pharmaceutical IT / OT engineering.

What are your responsibilities

• Learn the manufacturing processes of customers in the Pharmaceutical, Biotech, or Life Sciences industries alongside experienced colleagues.
• Work through different phases of MES projects, supporting the team during design, development, installation, deployment, and commissioning of industrial IT solutions.
• Assist in the implementation of digitalization and IT / OT technologies, supporting the installation and qualification of pharmaceutical equipment and computer systems according to GxP and GAMP5 standards.
• Support production-related IT / OT systems (MES / MOM), applying relevant industrial standards such as ISA95 and OPC UA.
• Assist in implementing production management systems (MES / MOM) and their integration into enterprise resource planning systems (L4) or shop floor systems (L2).

Required Skills

• Solid experience in the OT environment (MES) within the Pharmaceutical, Biotech, or Life Sciences industries.
• Experience with configuration and administration of MES or Historian Systems (e.g., PI).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong technical documentation and presentation skills.
• Team-oriented with experience in software engineering or production-related IT solutions.
• Willingness to travel for customer site visits.

Desired Skills

• Knowledge of GxP and regulatory requirements in manufacturing, especially for biologics/pharmaceuticals.
• Experience in process consulting, optimization, requirements engineering, or vertical MES integration (ERP, automation, LIMS, logistics).
