Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Werum PAS‑X MES Architect to lead the design, architecture, and delivery of PAS‑X solutions for pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturing. This role requires deep expertise in MES standards (ISA‑88/ISA‑95), GMP compliance, and multi‑site/global PAS‑X implementations. The architect will define end‑to‑end solution designs, lead integrations, establish governance, and guide cross‑functional teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architect and deliver PAS‑X MES solutions for multi‑site/global pharma manufacturing programs.
  • Translate ISA‑88 / ISA‑95 principles into PAS‑X data models, templates, and solution patterns.
  • Own full solution architecture: logical/physical design, scalability, HA/DR, capacity planning, performance tuning.
  • Lead integration design with SAP, LIMS, ERP, PLC/SCADA, historians using IDoc, XML, REST, OPC, and web services.
  • Ensure architecture supports GMP, CSV, e‑signatures, audit trails, 21 CFR Part 11 / Annex 11 compliance.
  • Provide guidance on infrastructure (on‑prem/cloud), Windows/SQL Server, network/security, and deployment automation.
  • Establish standards, reference architectures, and governance for PAS‑X configuration and release management.
  • Review and produce technical design documents, integration specs, validation deliverables, and security designs.
  • Mentor configuration, QA, IT, and automation teams; interface with vendors and project stakeholders.
  • Lead risk assessments, NFR definitions, cutover plans, and post‑go‑live optimization.
  • Support SQL queries, application data flows, and design automation scripts (C#, .NET, JS, Python).
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Azure, containers, CI/CD, and infrastructure‑as‑code.
  • Prior role as PAS‑X Solution Architect on multi‑site deployments.
  • PAS‑X certifications; GMP/CSV training.
  • Knowledge of MES data migration, OT analytics, and reporting.

Compensation: $110,000 to $140,000 +/- and this position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans. Application will be accepted by 3/20/2026
