Job summary

Storm4 is seeking a senior leader to drive acquisition origination and execution in the distributed generation solar and energy storage sector. You will leverage your industry network to source opportunities, perform rigorous underwriting, and manage transactions from LOI to close.

In this hybrid role based in New York City or Denver, you will build a high-impact pipeline, evaluate investments, and collaborate with senior leadership to shape strategic growth across DG markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in distributed generation solar, energy storage, project finance, corporate development, investing, or M&A.
• Deep expertise in distributed generation solar and energy storage is essential.
• Proven track record sourcing and originating acquisition opportunities.
• Strong network across developers, brokers, investors, and industry stakeholders.
• Experience underwriting and executing solar and storage acquisitions.
• Advanced financial modelling and valuation capabilities.
• Strong understanding of development-stage asset risks, project economics, and incentive structures.
• Experience leading due diligence and transaction processes from origination through close.
• Excellent communication skills with executives, investors, and counterparties.
• Willingness to travel approximately 20-30%.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage a proprietary pipeline of project, portfolio, and platform acquisitions.
• Lead financial underwriting, valuation, and investment analysis of targets.
• Develop and pressure-test project and portfolio financial models.
• Manage due diligence, negotiations, and transaction execution from LOI through closing.
• Structure transactions and advise on pricing, terms, and risk allocation.
• Monitor market trends, policy developments, and incentive programs.
• Prepare investment memoranda and present opportunities to executives.
• Partner with senior leadership to shape acquisition and corporate development strategy.

This is an opportunity to join a leading developer, owner, and operator of distributed generation solar and energy storage projects across the United States.

This firm have delivered 700+ commercial, industrial, and community solar projects representing more than 500 MW of capacity and is continuing to scale its owned asset base and development pipeline across some of the country's most attractive community solar and storage markets.

This is a highly visible role combining deal origination, acquisitions, underwriting, financial modelling, and transaction execution. The successful candidate will leverage an existing industry network to source acquisition opportunities, evaluate investments, and lead transactions from origination through closing.

• Originate acquisition opportunities across distributed generation solar and energy storage markets
