Job summary

J.Crew is seeking a Senior Merchant for Dresses & Skirts to own the end-to-end product strategy, from trend analysis to assortment planning. You will collaborate closely with Design, Planning, Marketing, and Visual teams to deliver compelling, commercially viable collections for our women’s wear category.

The role requires strong analytical skills, a deep fashion sense, and the ability to influence across disciplines. A hybrid work model with competitive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Six or more years in a merchant or buying role within apparel or fashion retail.
• Ability to translate data into clear, actionable strategies.
• Strong business acumen with understanding of retail metrics and buying principles.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product strategy for dresses and skirts across seasons.
• Translate trends into commercial assortments and big ideas.
• Partner with Design, Planning, Marketing, and Visual teams to bring collections to life.
• Lead pre-season strategy, budget planning, and margin targets.
• Review sales, receipts, markdown cadence, and style-color counts with cross-functional partners.
