Floor & Decor is seeking a seasoned Merchandising Manager to co-develop category strategies and drive sales and profitability through smart product selection, visibility, pricing and promotions.

You will own the full lifecycle for assigned categories, build vendor relationships, negotiate terms, plan assortments, and execute planograms to maximize in-store performance across locations. Travel may be required.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience can substitute for education.
• Five years of merchandising experience required.
• Knowledge of general merchandising and inventory management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced).

Responsabilidades

• Develop category plans based on strategic plan and ensure execution.
• Own full lifecycle of buying for assigned categories (sourcing, planning, buying, analysis, assortment, advertising/promotions, planograms).
• Engage in vendor relations, product selection, negotiations, promotion planning and communications with inventory and store planning teams.
• Manage planogram execution and in-store display accuracy across locations.
• Develop promotional strategies and align category and individual objectives; hold team accountable.

Purpose:This position is responsible for co-development and execution of product strategies and increasing sales and profitability of assigned specific product categories through correct product selection, display, price, and promotions.Minimum Eligibility Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration preferred (relevant experience can be substituted for the required education on the basis of one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education)Five years of merchandising experience requiredKnowledge of general merchandising and inventory management experience requiredStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills (verbal and written)Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate to advance level Excel)Must be detail oriented and highly organizedAbility to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environmentExcellent interpersonal and team building skillsEssential Job Functions:Develop category plans based upon strategic plan and ensure the team executes the product strategies in alignment with the strategic planResponsible for specific category full lifecycle of buying including sourcing, planning, buying, analysis, assortment selection, advertising/promotion, and planogramsFully engage in the buying processes for a category developing vendor relations, product selection, negotiations, promotion planning and communications with inventory and store planning teams to ensure product is in stock and displayed correctly to planogram. Manage processes across staff to ensure consistency and quality of plan executionDevelop promotional strategies for the entire category and ensure alignment within the categoryHelp establish category and individual objectives and hold team accountable for meeting objectives Working Conditions (travel & environment)Moderate to extensive travel required including air and car travel.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles.
