Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Sarasota to join the store leadership team. You will support the Store Manager in merchandising, processing freight, and daily store operations, driving a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, asset protection, and maintaining store cleanliness and order. You will also assist with freight flow, stock needs, and monthly planning to maximize sales effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Retail management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent standing, walking, and other physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Ensure store areas are clean, orderly and presentable.
• Provide a positive, safe, and friendly environment for customers and teammates.
