Job summary

Dollar Tree is hiring a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Tewksbury, MA. You will work with the Store Manager to lead a dynamic team, focus on merchandising and freight, and drive store performance.

This role requires strong communication and team collaboration while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, asset protection, processing directives, and planning monthly sales initiatives to optimize the sales floor and stock

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process directives related to store activities and communications.
• Maintain store cleanliness and restock as needed (bathrooms, floors, trash).
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment for customers and teammates.
• Handle receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow and stock merchandise including frozen & refrigerated goods.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective and merchandised with clips panels and promos.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
