Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to partner with the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team, focusing on merchandising and freight processing to deliver value to communities.

The role requires prior retail and management experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs. You will work in a high-energy team environment and contribute to store operations and customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical duties as needed.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Keep the store clean and presentable, including bathrooms and floors.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and associates.
• Assist Store Manager with additional duties as assigned.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow per productivity standards.
• Stock merchandise including frozen and refrigerated items.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective.
• Plan and merchandise monthly Sales Planners and Clip Strips/Power Panels.
