Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering positive experiences for the communities we serve.

You'll focus on merchandising and processing freight, assist with store functions, and ensure cleanliness and safety while maintaining professional interactions with customers and associates. This role is full-time at our Victoria, TX location.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Keep the store clean and presentable, including restrooms and floors.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and associates.
• Support Store Manager with freight flow, merchandising, and monthly planning.
