Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. in Roselle, NJ is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join its store leadership team and help guide a dynamic group of associates in merchandising and processing freight.

You will support the Store Manager with daily operations, open/close procedures, asset protection, safety compliance, and maintaining stockroom and sales floor standards while executing corporate directives.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to perform physical responsibilities (lift 30-50 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards
• Process corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain cleanliness and restock restrooms
• Ensure positive, safe, respectful environment
• Assist with freight flow and merchandise planning
• Order and stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated
• Ensure sales floor is sales-effective
• Plan and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales effective items
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners
