Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Hanover Park, IL to support the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering great customer experiences. You will focus on merchandising, processing freight, and daily store operations.

The role requires prior retail/management experience, strong communication and teamwork, and the physical ability to lift 30–50 lbs. This is a full-time, on-site position with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities.
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and restocking.
