Job summary

Dollar Tree in Columbus, GA is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join our store leadership team. You will support the Store Manager in supervising a dynamic group of associates, driving merchandising execution and freight processing to meet daily goals.

The ideal candidate has retail leadership experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage stock, plan displays, and maintain store standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards
• Process corporate directives and store communications
• Keep store clean and presentable, restocking bathrooms and cleaning floors
• Ensure a positive, safe environment for customers and staff
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise
• Manage freight flow per productivity standards
• Order and stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated
• Ensure sales floor is sales-effective
• Plan, merchandize, and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners
