The Merchandising Specialist will keep the front sales floor/showroom area stocked, fronted, and clean. The Specialist will also complete sales preparations, greet customers on the sales floor, and ensure the retail showroom presents a professional and inviting appearance.

Essential Job Functions

1. Greet customers on the sales floor, assist them in locating merchandise, or direct them to a parts specialist if hard parts are needed.
2. Check in, price, and stock merchandise.
3. Keep merchandise on the display floor fronted, full, and assist with O’Reilly Image Maker responsibilities daily.
4. Change displays according to company guidelines, update planograms, complete price label changes, ensure “sale” signs are in place, etc.
5. Remove all sale material when the sale ends and restore original pricing.
6. Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns.
7. Work with the manager to complete weekly inventory and merchandising tasks.
8. Occasionally serve as a cashier or drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries, provided driving record meets company requirements.
9. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience/Abilities

• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to clearly read, write, and match numbers and letters from various sources.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment.

Desired Qualifications

• Previous stocking experience.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
• Fluency in multiple languages, with Spanish highly desired.
