Job summary

Rural King invites motivated students to join its Internship Program, offering hands-on experience in retail merchandising and space planning within assigned departments. You will learn to build and adjust planograms, analyze space productivity, and collaborate with Merchandising and Store Operations teams.

During the internship, you will visit stores, test fixtures, and participate in projects that develop professional skills while supporting department goals.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student pursuing a degree related to the assigned department.
• GPA of 3.2 or higher must be met.
• Ability to learn and become proficient in internal software systems.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn the space-planning system and build or modify basic planograms using assortment, sales, inventory, and merchandising standards.
• Update existing planograms for new items, discontinued products, packaging changes, assortment changes, and seasonal transitions.
• Compare sales, units, inventory facings, and productivity to ensure appropriate space allocation.
• Visit stores to compare planograms with execution and recommend corrections.
• Physically set planograms and displays and identify issues beyond computer view.
