Job summary

Saks Fifth Avenue is seeking a Merchandise Operations Associate to support daily merchandise processing, placement, and fulfillment at our luxury retail store. You will help maintain presentation standards and assist with floor replenishment while delivering excellent customer service.

You will work closely with the Merchandise Operations Team Supervisor/Manager, flexibly contributing to projects and resolving issues as they arise.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift cartons, climb ladders, and handle racks and carts of merchandise (up to 50 pounds).
• Maintain and honor Visual merchandising standards on the floor.
• Proficient with store systems and technology (RF guns, PC, iOS, Excel/Word).
• Adaptable to a flexible schedule and varying store needs.
• Collaborate with team to ensure seamless store operations.

Responsibilities

• Process inbound merchandise and manage placement and presentation on selling floor.
• Follow directions to maintain consistent merchandising standards.
• Assist in floor recovery, replenishment, and store projects as needed.
• Locate merchandise for customer orders and deliver quick, friendly service.
• Support ad hoc duties to help store operate smoothly.

YOU WILL BE:

• Under the leadership and reporting to the Merchandise Operations Team Supervisor/Manager, the Merchandise Operations Associate supports the daily operations of merchandise including processing, placement, maintenance and fulfillment.
• Demonstrates comfort in flexing all communication styles and establishes positive interpersonal relationships
• Evaluates progress against key performance drivers and assess organizational opportunities and risks
• Drives positive outcomes through objectives and measures while monitoring progress and results
• Consistently generates and shares original ideas, tackling both simple and complex problems

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Merchandise:

• Process inbound merchandise, placement and presentation of merchandise on selling floor.
• Follow direction in maintaining standards in placement and presentation.
• Participate when needed in other store projects, including fill in of merchandise on the selling floor, floor recovery and supply replenishment.

Fullfillment:

• Locate requested merchandise within our store and complete orders placed by the customer
• Provide excellent customer service and act quickly to address the customers' needs
• Ad hoc responsibilities if needed

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

• Ability to lift cartons, climb ladders, and handle racks and carts of merchandise; lift of up to 50 pounds
• Retain merchandising standards on the floor in compliance with Visual standards
• Must have computer skills and ability to use available technology (RF guns, PC, iOS device, Excel/Word, and several proprietary platforms)
• Ability to work a flexible schedule following business needs and follows through on assigned tasks
• Ability to drive company vehicle as needed in accordance with your state Driver's License standards (select doors only)
