Job summary

Saks Fifth Avenue is seeking a Merchandise Operations Associate to support daily merchandise operations, processing, placement, and fulfillment. You will ensure merchandising standards and actively assist in floor replenishment while delivering excellent service to customers.

Under supervision of the Merchandise Operations Team, you’ll handle inbound shipments, presentation, and ad hoc projects, contributing to a seamless all-channel shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical merchandising tasks.
• Experience with retail merchandising and floor presentation guidelines.
• Comfort using RF scanners and Microsoft Office tools.
• Flexible schedule to meet store needs and coverage.

Responsibilities

• Process inbound merchandise and arrange product on selling floor.
• Maintain visual standards for placement and presentation.
• Assist in floor recovery, replenishment, and store projects as needed.
• Locate merchandise for customer orders and fulfill them promptly.
• Provide excellent customer service and address customer needs.

You Will Be

• Under the leadership and reporting to the Merchandise Operations Team Supervisor/Manager, the Merchandise Operations Associate supports the daily operations of merchandise including processing, placement, maintenance and fulfillment.
• Demonstrates comfort in flexing all communication styles and establishes positive interpersonal relationships
• Evaluates progress against key performance drivers and assess organizational opportunities and risks
• Drives positive outcomes through objectives and measures while monitoring progress and results
• Consistently generates and shares original ideas, tackling both simple and complex problems

What You Will Do

• Merchandise:
• Process inbound merchandise, placement and presentation of merchandise on selling floor.
• Follow direction in maintaining standards in placement and presentation.
• Participate when needed in other store projects, including fill in of merchandise on the selling floor, floor recovery and supply replenishment.
• Fullfillment:
• Locate requested merchandise within our store and complete orders placed by the customer
• Provide excellent customer service and act quickly to address the customers' needs
• Ad hoc responsibilities if needed

What You Will Bring

• Ability to lift cartons, climb ladders, and handle racks and carts of merchandise; lift of up to 50 pounds
• Retain merchandising standards on the floor in compliance with Visual standards
• Must have computer skills and ability to use available technology (RF guns, PC, iOS device, Excel/Word, and several proprietary platforms)
• Ability to work a flexible schedule following business needs and follows through on assigned tasks
• Ability to drive company vehicle as needed in accordance with your state Driver's License standards (select doors only)

Salary Range $17.05 - $21.32*

Compensation for this role varies by geographic location. The listed range reflects multiple markets, including higher-cost areas. Actual starting pay will be determined based on work location, experience, and other job-related factors.
