Merchandising Manager – Contractor / Consultant

Location: Atlanta, GA

Summary

Our client seeks an experienced ecommerce consultant with an entrepreneurial spirit and a background in new product development. The role involves strategizing, launching, and optimizing a new shopping experience for weather.com, including drop shipping and branded merchandise creation. The candidate should have a collaborative approach to product launch and optimization, with preferred experience in ecommerce platforms like Shopify, drop shipping, and merchandising.

Job Duties

1. Strategize, launch, and optimize new ecommerce opportunities on weather.com, focusing on product curation, data analysis, audience engagement, and storefront strategy.
2. Consult and educate team members on ecommerce platforms, tools, and best practices.
3. Coordinate with product, development, and marketing teams for a successful MVP storefront launch.
4. Lead new product onboarding and monitor online product status using reporting tools.
5. Create taglines, website copy, and product emails as needed.
6. Refine brand voice to resonate with the target audience.
7. QA all new product introductions to ensure correct merchandising, imagery, copy, and pricing.
8. Support pricing strategies to maintain positive margins on dropshipping and print-to-order merchandise.
9. Manage accuracy of product data on the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, digital media, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in ecommerce, digital marketing, or related areas.
• Familiarity with ecommerce platforms like Shopify and print-to-order systems.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams.
