Job summary

Heartland Coca-Cola Bottling Company in Wichita is seeking a Merchandiser Lead to support the merchandising Supervisor by training staff and coaching them on standard procedures. You will be scheduled to merchandise accounts as needed and help develop the merchandising team.

The role requires hands-on leadership, on-site work Saturdays through Wednesday from 5am to 1:30pm, with the ability to supervise, conduct training, monitor field activities on an iPad, and perform store audits while

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; minimum 1 year of work experience.
• At least 1 year of work experience in grocery, retail, warehouse, manual labor, or related field.
• Prior merchandising and leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain PIT certification upon hire.
• Basic computer and device skills (smartphone, iPad, laptop).
• Flexible schedule; evenings, weekends, and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Trains new and existing merchandisers and conducts onboarding and retraining; provides performance feedback.
• Serves as point of contact for Merchandising Supervisor on days off; handles calls, schedule changes, and customer concerns.
• Monitors daily merchandising activities using an iPad in the field.
• Conducts weekly store audits and weekly check-ins with merchandisers.
• Covers open merchandiser routes and completes daily tasks as needed.
• Ensures safe working techniques; reports unsafe conditions and complies with policies.
