Job summary

Heartland Coca-Cola Bottling Company is seeking a Merchandiser Lead to train and coach the merchandising staff, collaborating with the Merchandising Supervisor to develop the team and oversee assignments.

This full-time role requires onboarding of new hires, delivering capability-building sessions, field coaching, route coverage, and weekly audits to ensure quality and safety across accounts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; minimum one year in grocery/retail/warehouse.
• Leadership experience and ability to train staff.
• Ability to obtain PIT certification.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance; able to travel.

Responsibilities

• Trains new and existing merchandisers in standard merchandising activities and procedures; onboarding and retraining as needed; capability-building with performance feedback.
• Serves as the point of contact for Merchandising Supervisor on days off; handles calls, schedule changes, and customer concerns.
• Monitors daily merchandising activities in Pace using an iPad.
• Conducts weekly store audits and check-ins with merchandisers.
• Covers open merchandiser routes and fulfills daily activities as needed.
• Ensures safety techniques and proper equipment use; reports unsafe conditions; complies with company policies.
