Dollar Tree in Prospect Heights, IL is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to help lead a dynamic team and deliver exceptional guest experiences. You will focus on merchandising, freight flow, stockroom upkeep, and daily operations to support store success.

The ideal candidate has prior retail and management experience, strong communication and teamwork abilities, and must be able to lift 30–50 lbs while staying active throughout shifts in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process all corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and presentable store environment.
• Assist Store Manager with receiving and returning merchandise, managing freight flow, and stocking needs.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners and merchandise layouts.
