Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Arlington Heights, IL to help lead a dynamic team and drive positive customer experiences through merchandising and effective freight processing.

You will assist the Store Manager with daily operations, maintain store standards, and ensure safety and asset protection while delivering friendly, professional service to customers and team members.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain store cleanliness and ensure areas are neat and presentable.
• Ensure a positive, safe environment with professional interactions.
• Assist with Receipt/return of DSD merchandise and freight flow.
• Manage freight flow and stock merchandise needs.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective.
• Plan and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales items.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
