Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Devine, TX, is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering excellent customer experiences. You will focus on merchandising and processing freight while ensuring store standards and safety guidelines are met.

You will assist with daily operations, stock management, and implementation of monthly sales plans, working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities
• Maintain store cleanliness and restocking of bathrooms and floors
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff
• Other duties as assigned
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise
• Manage freight flow according to productivity standards
• Order and stock merchandise, including frozen & refrigerated items
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective
• Plan and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with effective items
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners
