Job summary

Ann Taylor is seeking an Assistant Merchandiser to support departmental strategies and the product lifecycle in our New York City office. The role involves building assortments, maintaining documentation, and generating reports to track performance across seasonal cycles.

The position requires a fashion-related bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of merchandising or internship experience, along with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in fashion-related field is required.
• Minimum 1 year of merchandising experience or related internships.
• Strong strategic thinking and analytical capabilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building and maintaining assortment with Senior Merchandiser.
• Generate and distribute weekly, monthly, and seasonal reports.
• Analyze current business trends and provide market research.
• Prepare documents for Product Lifecycle meetings and related reviews.
• Manage assortment sheets, receipts, and sample accuracy; timely handoff.
• Collaborate with Cross-Functional teams and make recommendations.
• Coordinate with Planning, Sourcing, and Marketing on promotions.
• Support timely flow of deliveries and inventory planning.
