Job summary

Talbots in Hingham, MA is seeking an Assistant Merchant to support the strategy, development, and selection of merchandise across a category. You will help prepare weekly and monthly performance reports, analyze trends, and coordinate with Sourcing, Allocation, and web merchandising teams to ensure accurate product representation.

You should have 1–2 years of merchandising or retail experience and strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).

Qualifications

• 1–2 years merchandising, retail sales, buying or internship experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly/monthly/quarterly performance reports.
• Analyze sales trends and assist with category planning.
• Coordinate with Sourcing, Allocation and web merchandising for accurate product representation.
• Review catalog and web content for accuracy and timely delivery.
