Dollar Tree is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Vernon, TX, to support the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering superior customer experiences. The role focuses on merchandising, freight processing, and daily store operations.

The candidate should have retail and management experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift and move items as required in a fast-paced retail environment. Full-time position with employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail management preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and restock bathrooms, sweep and mop floors, take out trash.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow in accordance with productivity standards.
• Order and stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated items.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective.
• Plan, merchandise, and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales-effective items.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
