Dollar Tree is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in South Plainfield, NJ, to work alongside the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team. You will focus on merchandising and processing freight while upholding store standards and policies.

Ideal candidates have prior retail and management experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs. This is a full-time position with growth opportunities within our store operations.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform physical duties.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities.
• Manage freight flow and stock merchandise needs to meet productivity standards.
• Plan, merchandise, and maintain displays and monthly Sales Planners.
