Job summary

Dollar Tree is hiring a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Cleveland, TN. You will join the Store Manager to lead a dynamic team of associates, focusing on merchandising and processing freight, while delivering positive experiences for the communities we serve.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, asset protection, policy adherence, stockroom and floor maintenance, and facilitating corporate directives.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and pulling.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities.
• Keep store clean and presentable, including restrooms.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and associates.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow and stock merchandise needs to productivity standards.
• Ensure sales floor is sales-effective and merchandise plan is followed.
• Plan and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales items.
• Implement monthly Sales Planners.
