Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Burlington, NC. You will join the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and driving merchandising, freight processing, and store operations to deliver value for communities.

The role requires collaboration, strong communication, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs. A high-energy, team-oriented environment is essential and additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Open and close procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process directives such as Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, etc.
• Maintain cleanliness and restock bathrooms, floors, and trash areas.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Process the receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow and stock merchandise needs (including frozen & refrigerated).
• Plan, merchandize, and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with sale items.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
