Dollar Tree is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering positive community experiences. You will focus on merchandising, freight processing, and ensuring store standards are met.

Responsibilities include opening/closing, asset protection, safety compliance, stockroom upkeep, and executing directives. Strong communication and physical ability are required for this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift 30 to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store.
• Ensure positive, respectful interactions with customers and staff.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow per productivity standards.
• Plan and stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective.
• Plan and merchandise Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales items.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
