Job summary

Dollar Tree in Clawson, MI is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering positive experiences for the community through merchandising and freight processing.

You will support daily store operations, maintain standards, and work with leadership to ensure a safe, friendly environment while upholding company policies and driving sales.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store to company standards (stockroom and sales floor).
• Process all corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain store cleanliness and restocking of bathrooms and floors.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers, associates, and leaders.
• Other duties as assigned.
