Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a dedicated retail professional to manage store operations and lead a team on a daily basis. You will assist with store activities, support customers, and ensure merchandise is organized from delivery to sales floor.

The role requires strong interpersonal and organizational abilities, with attention to safety and loss prevention. You will participate in opening/closing procedures and support store leadership in training associates.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Maintain seasonal areas, fixtures, displays, stockroom, and store cleanliness.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Assist with ordering merchandise and processing damaged merchandise.
• Maintain payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and receipts, and loss-prevention records.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff follow them.
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain positive, safe, respectful, professional interactions.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives (e.g., merchandise schematics, etc.) is required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height
• Must meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required
