Job summary

Meyer’s Canine Colony on historic Main Street in Roscoe, IL, seeks a Store Stylist to prototype, craft, and install eye-catching displays across regional showrooms in Belvidere, IL and DeForest, WI. You will engage customers, contribute creative merchandising ideas, and help ensure a stellar in-store experience.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work outdoors in various weather, and thrive in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Artistic background preferred; formal degree not required.

Responsibilities

• Prototype, fabricate and install display elements.
• Collaborate with team to develop and rotate seasonal displays.
• Engage customers to enhance the store experience.
• Support high-volume display fabrication and on-site setup.

STORE STYLIST | JOB DESCRIPTION

At Meyer’s, we’re on a crusade to help owners improve the relationship between them and their dogs and be the HERO in their lives.Kent & Gwen Meyer are 3rd generation dog professionals and have been teaching “dog speak” for over 30 years.

HELP CREATE THE MEYER LOOK AND OFFERINGS

• Do you have an artistic background?
  
• Does changing up your look in your own house each season trip your trigger?

WHAT YOU BRING

• Ability to lift and carry medium to large items, weighing up to 50 lbs. Must be able to stand, lift, and bend frequently throughout the shift. Ability to go up and down ladders. Ability to work with power tools. Must be able to work outdoors enduring extreme weather.
• Efficiently prototype display elements as needed.
• Contributes creative ideas and solutions regarding merchandising and display.
• Protect customer experience by engaging and interacting with clients, even if setting the floor or working on a project.
• Work on detail oriented display projects.
• High volume fabrication of displays for a high volume merchandiser.
• Uphold all company policies and supports Meyer mission.

BASIC EDUCATION

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have an artistic background. A formal degree is not required.

WHERE YOU WILL BE LOCATED:

• Home base will be Meyer's Canine Colony on historic Main Street in Roscoe, IL, but you will also need to regularly display our other showrooms in Belvidere, IL and DeForest, WI.
• Setup displays and attend various regional vendor markets throughout the year.
• The store stylist works directly under the owners and Roscoe location leader to help prototype, craft, and install displays.
