Job summary

Firehouse Pet Shop is seeking an experienced Visual Merchandiser to craft boutique-style displays with creative freedom. This role offers both part-time and full-time opportunities and rewards design independence without relying on strict planograms.

You will independently design displays, refresh them by season and event, and ensure visual storytelling aligns with the Firehouse brand while engaging customers throughout the store.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in visual merchandising (boutique, fashion, or home décor stores).
• Strong organizational and communication skills with understanding of space, balance, and color.
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Ability to multitask while engaging customers during displays.
• Outgoing personality with passion for interacting with customers.

Responsibilities

• Independently design and maintain product displays on walls, tables, and endcaps without planograms or direction.
• Prioritize and refresh displays based on sales, seasons, and events.
• Ensure displays align with brand and maintain a polished store image.
• Create and execute seasonal and window displays that captivate customers.
• Modify planograms as needed, adding new products or resetting displays without guidance.
• Create and build gift baskets for community donation program and for sale.

The Role: Visual Display Merchandiser

We're looking for a skilled visual merchandiser with experience in creating boutique-style displays. You should be able to work independently, creating stunning, high-end product displays. This role offers flexibility with both part-time and full-time positions available, depending on your experience and ambition. Pay will be based on your background and the level of responsibility you're ready to take on.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently design and maintain product displays on walls, tables, and endcaps - without planograms or direction.
• Prioritize and refresh displays based on sales performance, seasons, and special events.
• Ensure that displays align with the Firehouse brand and maintain a polished, inviting store image.
• Create and execute seasonal and window displays that captivate customers.
• Modify permanent planograms as needed, incorporating new products or resetting displays - all without a pre-set planogram or guidance.
• Create and build gift baskets for community donation program in addition to gift baskets sold inside the store and online.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in visual merchandising (preferably in boutique, fashion, or home décor stores).
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with a keen understanding of space, balance, and color.
• High attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Ability to multitask, engaging with customers while working on displays.
• Outgoing personality with a passion for interacting with customers and starting conversations.
• Regular, consistent attendance, with availability to work flexible hours (including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays).
• Be prepared to show photos or examples of your previous merchandising work (portfolio, photos, or social media links).
• At least one professional reference regarding your merchandising experience is required.
