Description

Our Garden Group, providing sales support and logistics for proprietary brands and other recognized consumer brands, is seeking a full-time Merchandiser in Salisbury, MD. This role involves stocking and arranging product displays, including grass seed, chemicals, and clay pottery, in home improvement centers such as Lowe's, Home Depot, and Walmart.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Down stocking and maintaining set integrity for Central Garden products like grass seed, chemicals, bird feed, fertilizer, and clay pottery
• Set and maintain shelves according to retailer planograms/modulars
• Install and maintain off-shelf display opportunities for Central Garden products
• Engage with consumers during peak season on weekends (training provided)

QUALIFICATIONS

• Preferred previous merchandising experience
• Strong communication skills for interacting with store management and consumers
• Good reading skills for understanding packaging labels and re-tagging projects
• Ability to bend, pull, and lift 50 lbs. consistently throughout the day
• Ability to climb ladders, use a pallet jack, and hand tools
• Valid driver's license, good driving record, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance
• Daily access to internet/email
• Smartphone with Android 13.0+ or iOS 15.0+ with specified specs for communication and app use
• Responsible, reliable, and dependable work habits
• Ability to work safely and stay alert

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Retail environment - garden centers and stores
• Workweek: Monday to Friday, some weekends (primarily Saturday)
• Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, use pallet jacks and tools
• Travel within territory using personal vehicle
• Remote work possible

POSITION DETAILS

• Hourly pay: $16.00 - $18.00 depending on experience
• Reimbursement for cell phone, mileage, and travel expenses at $2.00 per hour worked
• $10/month data plan allowance for app use on personal phone
