Job summary

McClatchy Media seeks a part-time Merchandiser to service product in multiple stores around Oak Grove, KY. The role requires travel up to 100% of the time and reports to the Supervisor of Merchandising.

Compensation starts at $15 per hour with travel time included and a retention/referral bonus after 3 months. Part-time, non-exempt employment with a schedule defined by the merchandising team.

Qualifications

• General merchandising experience preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal skills required for store interactions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Must be able to multitask and pay attention to detail.
• Must conduct yourself in a professional manner.
• Adherence to the company’s attendance policy is required.
• Reliable transportation for travel within territory.
• Able to use Movista and/or other company-required applications.
• Own a personal cell phone and mobile device (e.g., tablet).
• Proficient with Word, Internet, and email applications.

Responsibilities

• 100% merchandising in assigned stores.
• Service all stores as scheduled, within designated hours.
• Contact Supervisor before overtime or exceeding 10 hours in a day.
• Accurately record work hours using designated applications.
• Discuss unlisted duties with Supervisor before performing them.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary Of Responsibilities

100% Merchandising

• Work within a retail environment to effectively merchandise products by applying appropriate store and/or corporate standards. Safely and efficiently replenish product. May assemble shelves/racks and display cases following measurement guidelines.
• Service all stores as scheduled within the allotted hours provided by Supervisor, Merchandising. Seek prior approval from Supervisor before working outside of scheduled hours.
• Contact Supervisor before working more than 10 hours in a workday or overtime.
• Accurately record work hours and other company-related information using designated applications.
• Discuss duties requested by store personnel not listed herein with Supervisor before performing those duties.

Other duties as assigned.
