Job summary

McClatchy Media Company in Oak Grove, KY is seeking an on-site Part-Time Merchandiser to service products in multiple stores and travel between accounts. Compensation includes a competitive wage of $15 plus travel time paid, with no direct reports.

Schedule is designated by the Supervisor of Merchandising and travel may reach 100% of the time. Responsibilities include merchandising to planograms, replenishing stock, and recording hours with designated apps.

Qualifications

• General merchandising experience preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication.
• Able to multitask and stay detail-oriented.
• Professional conduct and reliable attendance.
• Reliable transportation for travel to stores.
• Able to use Movista and other required applications.
• Must have a personal cell phone and mobile device.

Responsibilities

• Work within a retail environment to merchandise products to store/corporate standards.
• Replenish product safely and efficiently; may assemble shelves and displays.
• Service assigned stores on schedule; obtain approval before overtime.
• Accurately record work hours using designated apps.
• Communicate with supervisor about duties not listed.

Status:Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Location: Oak Grove, KY

Reports To:Supervisor of Merchandising

Compensation:

• Competitive Wage $15 to include Travel time between accounts is paid.

Schedule:

• Assigned stores are serviced on designated weekdays according to the established schedule.

Travel:Travel expected up to 100% of the time to cover territory

Requirements:

• General merchandising experience preferred but not required.

Summary of Responsibilities:

100% Merchandising

• Work within a retail environment to effectively merchandise products by applying appropriate store and/or corporate standards. Safely and efficiently replenish product. May assemble shelves/racks and display cases following measurement guidelines.
• Service all stores as scheduled within the allotted hours provided by Supervisor, Merchandising. Seek prior approval from Supervisor before working outside of scheduled hours.
• Contact Supervisor before working more than 10 hours in a workday or overtime.
• Accurately record work hours and other company-related information using designated applications.
• Discuss duties requested by store personnel not listed herein with Supervisor before performing those duties.

Other duties as assigned.

• Work stores as scheduled.
• Handle all product correctly, including returns.
• Follow planograms (POGs), flowcharts, etc.
• Regular communication with Supervisor.
• Develop relationships with store personnel.
