Job summary

McClatchy Media Company seeks a part-time, on-site Merchandiser to service products in multiple stores, traveling between accounts. Schedule is weekday-based with travel required up to 100% of the time. Employment is contingent on background checks, a 4-panel drug test (THC not included), and MVR clearance.

Responsibilities include merchandising to standards, replenishing stock, and recording hours using company apps. Must maintain professional conduct and adhere to attendance policies.

Qualifications

• General merchandising experience preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

• Reliable transportation for travel.

• Safely and efficiently replenish product and may assemble shelves/racks and display cases following guidelines.
• Service all stores as scheduled within the allotted hours; seek approval before overtime.
• Record work hours and information using designated applications.
• Discuss duties with Supervisor before performing unlisted duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Develop relationships with store personnel.

Reports To:

Supervisor of Merchandising

Compensation:

• Competitive Wage $15 to include Travel time between accounts is paid.

Direct Reports:

None

Schedule:

• Assigned stores are serviced on designated weekdays according to the established schedule.

Travel:

Travel expected up to 100% of the time to cover territory

Requirements:

Summary of Responsibilities:

100% Merchandising

• Work within a retail environment to effectively merchandise products by applying appropriate store and/or corporate standards. Safely and efficiently replenish product. May assemble shelves/racks and display cases following measurement guidelines.
• Service all stores as scheduled within the allotted hours provided by Supervisor, Merchandising. Seek prior approval from Supervisor before working outside of scheduled hours.
• Contact Supervisor before working more than 10 hours in a workday or overtime.
• Accurately record work hours and other company-related information using designated applications.
• Discuss duties requested by store personnel not listed herein with Supervisor before performing those duties.

Other duties as assigned.

• Work stores as scheduled.
• Handle all product correctly, including returns.
• Follow planograms (POGs), flowcharts, etc.
• Regular communication with Supervisor.
• Develop relationships with store personnel.
