Central Pet Distribution is Hiring Part Time Merchandisers! 2-Day Work Week, Weekends and Evenings Off!

Are you passionate about pets and enjoy working independently? Our growing company is seeking experienced merchandisers to visit and service retail accounts. Our Pet Distribution team supplies the nation's top pet brands to stores. With a set schedule and weekly routes in designated areas, our merchandisers excel at getting products onto store shelves. If you're customer service-oriented, organized, dependable, and have excellent time management skills, this could be the perfect job for you!

Location:

Fairbanks, AK area

Shift Details:

Part-time - Monday & Thursday or Friday; 6-9 hours per week

Measures of Success:

1. Receive, unpack, and scan inbound inventory for retail locations using R/F units.
2. Merchandise products onto store shelves according to schematics.
3. Place replenishment orders for designated products.
4. Count, pack, and arrange pickups/deliveries for returned goods.
5. Develop relationships with Back Door Receivers.
6. Collaborate with store sales staff on shelf maintenance and merchandising standards.
7. Construct and assemble displays per specifications, and rotate promotional signage.
8. Monitor email and voicemail for communication from the business unit.
9. Practice safety measures when driving.
10. Provide excellent customer service when interacting with store managers and staff.

Ideal Candidate Attributes:

1. Previous merchandising experience.
2. Strong communication skills for interacting with store personnel and consumers.
3. Ability to use tools like box cutters, bar-coding scanners, push carts, and dollies safely.
4. Smartphone and access to a computer.
5. Ability to work independently.
6. Attention to detail.
7. Responsible, reliable, and dependable work habits.
8. Valid Driver's License, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
9. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. consistently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
10. Ability to bend, pull, and stay alert throughout the day.

Working Conditions:

• Work occurs at retail stores in loading/unloading areas and on sales floors.
• Driving between locations in personal vehicle.
