Job summary

Store & Supply is seeking a dependable merchandiser to build and maintain off-premise product displays, rotate stock, and ensure shelves are neat and appealing. You will work under department managers, coordinate with drivers and sales reps, and assist with resets while maintaining POS materials.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, minimal experience accepted, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Willing to work 3 weekdays and one weekend day.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with storeowner or manager for merchandise instructions while promoting a positive relationship with store management.
• Displays merchandise to satisfy customer’s needs, emphasizes selling points such as quality and quantity.
• Places new merchandise on display.
• Organizes back room to be neat, clean, and to customers’ satisfaction.
• Repairs damaged packages and replaces on shelf or cooler for customer.
• Monitors shelf tags to ensure up-to-date sale tags, especially on Sundays.
• Takes inventory of stock and reports low volumes and out-of-stock situations.
• Assists with resets as needed.
• Maintains current and themed POS to ensure maximum account coverage.
• Works as a team with delivery drivers and Sales Representatives to provide best possible customer service.
• Completes safety and job skill training per Department Managers satisfaction.

Summary:Schedule: T-F (3 Days) and 1 Weekend Day (Four 10 Hour Shifts)Responsible for building and maintaining off-premise product displays including appearance and rotation. Works under the supervision of the department managers and/or team leaders.Essential Functions (must be able to be performed with or without reasonable accommodation):Communicates with storeowner or manager for any specific instructions of merchandise desired while promoting a positive relationship with store management.Displays merchandise to satisfy customer’s needs, emphasizes selling points such as quality and quantity.Places new merchandise on display.Organizes customers back room to be neat, clean, and to customers’ satisfaction.Repackages any damaged packages and replace on shelf or cooler for customer.Monitors shelf tag- current up to date- sale tags up on Sundays.Takes inventory of stock and reports low volumes and out of stock situations.Assists with resets as needed.Maintain current and themed P.O.S. to ensure maximum account coverage.Adheres to all standards in sales manual (rotation etc.).Work as a team with delivery drivers and Sales Representatives to provide best possible customer service to all clients.Successfully complete all safety and job skill training per Department Managers satisfactionQualifications:Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.Language Skills: Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of database software; Internet software; order processing systems.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid driver’s license. Must have reliable transportation throughout work day.Other Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication skills and people skills in order to be able to respond to any situation.Must be at least 18 years of age.Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
