Job summary

Standard Sales Company, L.P. is seeking a Merchandiser to support retail shelf replenishment, display construction, and product rotation across Texas markets. You will work with delivery teams to maintain POS materials and optimize sell-through.

Responsibilities include stocking shelves, following shelf schematics, assisting with deliveries, installing POS and displays, and adhering to safety policies while providing reliable service at retail accounts.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

JOB TITLE:

Merchandiser

SUMMARY:

Responsible for retail shelf replenishment, product rotation, retail inventory organization between and during deliveries, constructing displays, maintaining retail point of sale materials to enhance the sell through of our brands and packages.

JOB DUTIES:

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and special events
• Be responsible for equipment and point of sale materials
• Assist with retail deliveries when required
• Assist with placement or installation of point of sale, merchandising and display activities in retail accounts
• Stock shelves according to current shelf schematic
• Follow company policies and procedures regarding product freshness and rotation
• Monitor condition of POS (paper and permanent), and coordinate replacement with sales rep
• Follow all product handling procedures according to each retailers policy
• Adhere to the route schedule to ensure proper coverage and service of assigned accounts
• Construct and maintain retail displays as instructed by District Manager or Sales Rep
• Deliver immediate need hot shot retail order requests
• Adhere to company policies and laws (local, federal & state) pertaining to product invoicing, signatures and payment collection.
• Ability to effectively communicate and work with other team members
• Complete assigned training and development classes as assigned
• Attend company meetings as required
• Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Good communication skills and ability to work and collaborate effectively with others; includes team, other depts. and clients/customers

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED

PREFERRED QUALIFICTIONS:

• Experience with Microsoft office applications, (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• A team player with a readiness to communicate often and effectively
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple projects
• Direct experience in wholesale beer distribution and/or brewer/supplier operations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to move products weighing up to 165 lbs.
• Hang merchandise as needed
• Repetitive lifting, up to 50 lbs. overhead
• Bending, pulling/pushing up to 340 pounds on a two-wheeler
• Ability to continuously stand or walk
• Ability to bend and occasionally squat
• Repetitive carrying and reaching
• Stand for extended periods of time
• Able to perform job-related tasks without hindering the safety of self or other employees, while wearing safety equipment needed
