Job summary

Core-Mark is seeking a Merchandiser in Sanford, NC to support our sales region by executing SmartStock programs and delivering merchandising and sales support. You will build strong customer relationships and work with the Sales Team to address needs and concerns, ensuring compliance with company policies and optimal product presentation.

The role emphasizes professional execution, timely store visits, and maintaining fresh products with attention to date codes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, reliable vehicle, and insurance.
• 1-2 years of experience in customer service, merchandising or sales.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a detailed and specific call routine with a designated ledger of customers.
• Maintenance and execution of the SmartStock program (racks, plan-o-grams, ordering, and merchandising activities).
• Identifying and reducing out-of-stocks on shelves.
• Ensuring products are fresh and within date code parameters.
• Attending to customer needs and concerns promptly.
• Ensuring plan-o-gram, marketing best practices, and compliance in stores.
• Identifying display opportunities and maximizing display positioning.
• Ensuring that products are properly displayed, priced, and identified.
• Finding solutions to possible customer challenges with assistance.
• Performing other tasks and duties as assigned.

Position Details:

• Schedule: Monday-Friday
• Pay: $20/hr.
• 40 hours per week

Position Summary:

As a Merchandiser, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our strategic sales initiatives in your assigned sales region, collaborating closely with the Sales Team in that area. Your responsibilities will encompass tasks focused on executing our SmartStock program, ensuring compliance with company policies, and providing merchandising and sales support. You will also be responsible for building strong relationships with customers in the sales region and supporting the Sales Team in addressing their needs and concerns. Your professionalism and business execution are critical contributions to driving business forward for our customers, vendors, and ourselves.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Ability to drive to customer locations using personal transportation (mileage and gasoline reimbursement provided).
• Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, reliable vehicle, and proper valid insurance.
• 1-2 years of working experience in a customer service, merchandising or sales position.

Preferred qualifications:

• Food Service or Convenience Store Industry experience is desired.
• B2B Sales experience
