Job summary

Sigma Foods is seeking a full-time Merchandiser to stock Bar-S products at customer locations in assigned areas. The role is a Monday–Friday morning position with on-site duties and occasional weekend work as needed.

Responsibilities include maintaining shelf standards, promoting current promotions, building store relationships, and preparing weekly/monthly/quarterly reports. A high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, a food handler’s permit, and a personal vehicle are required.

Position Summary

Stock Hispanic Brands products at customers’ locations in assigned locations.This is a full time M-F morning position.

Essential Job Functions

• Maintain store shelf standards and inventory through various merchandising strategies, including but not limited to rotation of products; ensure pricing matches current promotions and current marketing and promotional materials are displayed.
• Protect and gain merchandise shelf space for Bar-S products by stocking temporary bunkers and spaces for scheduled promotions; optimize brand presence in designated areas.
• Provide excellent customer service; assess the needs of the customer to best recommend products.
• Maintain excellent working relationship with customers.
• Create weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly reports.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

License/Certifications

• Personal vehicle which meets company standards for licensing and insurance
• Food handler’s permit
• Driver’s License which meets company requirements
• MVR which meets Sigma driving standards with review by Talent & Culture

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual in spanish and English

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA’s)

Customer service skills including the ability to manage and respond to different customer situations while maintaining a positive and friendly attitude
Must demonstrate strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
Fully fluent in Spanish
Proven ability to motivate self and others
The ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, present a professional demeanor, and work well independently

Environmental/Working Conditions

Able to work in a cold environment of approximately 34º F for prolonged periods of time
Availability to work some weekends and evenings
Can regularly lift and move 30 pound boxes/buckets on/off shelves or cart/hand-truck.
Can repeatedly twist, turn, kneel, stoop, stand, rotate, bend, push or pull to move 30 pounds.
