Summary

A Japanese food trading company is recruiting for a Merchandiser.

Essential Duties

• Maintain customer and vendor relations
• Travel to customer locations to perform duties
• Put products on shelves according to an organized system, ensuring they are clean, properly labeled, and rotated
• Arrange attractive displays based on sales promotions
• Coordinate with buyers, analysts, stores, suppliers and distributors
• Keep track of inventory arrivals and departures, and remove & break down empty boxes
• Monitor sales and identify any losses or stock wastage
• Collaborate with salespeople to set prices that are good for the market and profit
• Review customer feedback to predict sales trends and seasonal stock demand
• Brief staff on stock display and rotation to ensure every space is optimized
• Research & monitor industry trends and consumer behavior to anticipate demand and changes in buying patterns
• Make predictions based on sales data, customer feedback and market trends
• Assess the effectiveness of different product displays and store layouts on sales figures
• Review competitors, including pricing, profit, marketing and other progress
• Conduct constant research & update information on trends, products, competitors
• Create reports using Microsoft Excel and Access
• Gather & organize information on sales activity
• Document findings & assist in preparing recommendations
• Perform general office and administrative tasks including email, phone calls, filing
• Other duties as required to support on‑going sales/market data reporting needs

Working Hours and Style

8:00-17:00, full-time.

Salary

$20-23 per hour.
