Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Pascagoula, MS. You will work with the Store Manager to lead a team of associates, focus on merchandising, and oversee freight processing to drive a positive shopping experience.

You will support daily store operations, safeguard assets, enforce safety policies, and help ensure the store floor and stockroom meet company standards, while maintaining a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Qualifications

• Retail management experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills required.
• Physically able to lift 30–50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process corporate directives such as Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey information requests.
• Keep store clean, including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow and stock levels to productivity standards.
• Order and stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated items.
• Ensure sales floor is sales-effective.
• Plan and merchandise Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales items.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
