Job summary

MSC Industrial Direct Co., Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Selector to join our Customer Fulfillment Center in Jonestown, PA. You will manually select products, prepare orders for shipment, and move pallets using motorized equipment.

The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and reliability in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities to learn cross-functional processes and contribute to efficient order fulfillment.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Willingness to work overtime to meet customer needs.
• Valid state driver''s license may be required.
• Internal certification to drive powered equipment within specified time requirements.
• Internal certification to pick DOT-regulated items, if required.
• Physical ability to perform essential job functions including lifting up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Pick and count items from bins, flat stock and racks to fill orders.
• Load, unload and move product by hand, tote or by skid.
• Verify products using item numbers, descriptions, and quantity; inspect for damage; use RF scanning to validate items.
• Batch orders and attach packing slips to pick product to totes via RF scanning.
• Operate basic and advanced powered equipment (pallet jack, forklift, turret truck, order picker).
• Train cross-functionally in other departments to support business requirements.
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain productivity and quality.
