J.Crew Group seeks a Planner in New York to develop and execute the department’s financial strategy, collaborating with Merchants and Allocators to optimize sales, margin, and inventory performance. You will forecast results and translate data into actionable insights to guide cross-functional teams.

The role requires strong analytical and Excel skills, 4+ years in planning or financial analysis, and excellent communication. This is an in-office role with a Tuesday–Thursday in NYC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 4+ years of experience in merchandise planning, allocation, or financial analysis.
• Strong analytical, financial modeling, and Excel skills.

Responsabilités

• Develop preseason sales, margin, and inventory plans by department and class.
• Build bottoms-up style plan with Merchandising; advise on rank, depth, and flow timing.
• Summarize tops-down vs. bottoms-up plans with key metrics (markup, cost, margin, inventory).
• Present preseason plans and financial recommendations during investment and line review meetings.
• Provide weekly in-season updates on sales, margin, and inventory vs forecast.
• Lead monthly OTB meetings and adjust forecasts based on trends.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Allocation, and Assortment Planning to optimize product flow and pricing.
