Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Associate Merchant to join its corporate team. You will support the Category Director and Merchants in all merchandising processes across channels, including assortment development, merchandising strategy execution, and plan implementation for stores.

The role emphasizes strong communication, data analysis, and collaboration within a fast-paced retail environment. You will contribute to vendor evaluation, product development input, and promotional planning while growing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 1–3 years of related Merchandise/Buying experience.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Spreadsheet and word processing skills.
• Detail oriented and organized.
• Able to work independently and creatively.
• Ability to build strong team relationships.

Responsibilities

• Support Category Director and Category Merchants across merchandising processes for all channels.
• Assist with assortment development and execution of merchandising strategy.
• Implement merchandising plans for Dollar Tree Stores.
• Develop category copy and text in support of Marketing.
• Contribute to plan-o-guides, display guides, and promotional materials.
• Support weekly and monthly category reviews and P&L inputs.
• Evaluate vendor performance and assist in supplier selection and negotiations.
