SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

Stoney Clover Lane is seeking a strategic, detail-oriented, and highly collaborative Merchandise Planner to lead end-to-end receipt planning and assortment strategy across our product categories. This role is responsible for developing and executing merchandise financial plans that support company goals, maximize sales, optimize inventory sell through, and increase profitability

You’ll work cross-functionally with production, marketing, retail, and e-commerce teams to forecast demand, analyze performance, and guide business decisions that impact sell-through, margin, and inventory health. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and is excited to shape the planning function at a growing lifestyle brand.

PLANNING AND ASSORTMENT BUILDING

  • Analyze historical sales trends and current business performance to inform future planning and assortment strategies at the weekly, monthly and LTD periods.
  • Own tops down and bottoms up merchandise sales and inventory plans by collection, category and key item.
  • Collaborate with Design, Production, Marketing and Allocation teams to ensure alignment on product assortment, pricing, launch timing and inventory flow.
  • Monitor and forecast inventory levels by collection, category and key item to ensure optimal sell throughs are being achieved and inventory is manageable.
  • Provide actionable insights to influence pricing strategies, markdowns, and promotional planning.

CROSS FUNCTIONAL LEADERSHIP

  • Work closely with product development to inform line planning with data-driven insights.
  • Partner with marketing to ensure launches are supported by the right inventory strategy.
  • Coordinate with retail ops and allocation managers on store allocation and replenishment strategies.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 5–7 years of experience in merchandise planning, retail & wholesale planning, or inventory management, ideally in a DTC or multi-channel retail environment. Strong cross-functional partnership skills, highly detail-oriented and organized
  • Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint expertise: must be able to analyze large volumes of data in excel and be able to distill analysis into digestible presentations
  • Deep analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast paced environment
  • Proficient independently identifying and managing multiple top priorities daily.
  • Demonstrates a strong ability to work independently, entrepreneurially, and collaboratively.
