Responsibilities

• Oversee receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock for efficient placement on the sales floor.
• Manage setup and maintenance of displays, ensuring signage accuracy and promotion highlights, following corporate guidelines for resets and seasonal updates.
• Handle store opening and closing procedures, including securing cash, locking doors, and setting alarms for smooth operations.
• Act as Manager on Duty when needed, overseeing store operations, staff, customer service, and urgent issues.
• Supervise daily activities of store associates, ensuring effective performance and excellent customer service.
• Support onboarding and training of associates on store policies, products, and operational procedures.
• Drive sales and control expenses through merchandising, staff performance, and customer service improvements.
• Execute market plan by arranging products and signage per corporate guidelines, ensuring promotional materials are displayed and updated properly, and inventory integrity is maintained.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; college experience preferred.
• Minimum 2 years management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and think creatively.
• Maintain composure under pressure.

Essential Job Functions

• Operate cash register frequently.
• Move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place/remove items up to 10 feet high.
• Ascend/descend ladders for stock retrieval and storage.
• Position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop regularly.
• Communicate effectively with customers, managers, and coworkers.
• Assist customers and move across the sales floor frequently.
• Work flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends, and possibly overnight shifts and travel.
• Follow instructions regarding merchandise layouts, schedules, and procedures.
• Remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time.
