Job summary

The Buckle, Inc. in Shreveport, LA is seeking a Freight Coordinator to support daily store operations, receiving shipments, shipping merchandise, and backroom maintenance.

This role helps ensure accurate inventory and smooth flow of goods to the sales floor. Responsibilities include verifying invoices, processing transfers, labeling, packing shipments, and maintaining shipment paperwork, while upholding Buckle's code of ethics and delivering excellent guest service.

Responsibilities

• Verify merchandise invoices against received shipments to ensure accuracy.
• Transmit alterations, layaways, or special orders to Guests via FedEx.
• Check freight packing slips and transfer slips for correctness.
• Ensure transfers match items being shipped and recorded at the register.
• Pack items properly and present shipments neatly when sending to Guests or other stores.
• Tag garments with Sensormatic tags in designated locations.
• Hang, fold, and steam merchandise for the sales floor.
• Support on-floor projects as needed.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of POS software.
• Receive freight boxes and store transfers through the register.
• Maintain shipment paperwork and file discrepancies for 30 days.
• Monitor for security risks and know how to handle them.
• Create FedEx labels and sort packages by shipping speed.
• Process recalls and RTVs weekly.
• Keep supplies stocked and organized (boxes, bags, etc.).
• Organize fixtures and shelving.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area.
• Report policy violations to Store Manager or HR promptly.
• Provide feedback on merchandise handling to management.
• Adhere to Buckle Code of Ethics and policies.
• Contribute to customer service and positive team spirit.
• Perform special projects as assigned.
